The words “Hello” and “World”, in that order, are iconic to anyone with any computer programming experience. Usually when somebody wanting to try out a new programming language is not spared from the burden of choosing what to type. I’m in same shoes not knowing what to write as my first post. So I start with this formal greeting “Hello World.!!“-

This is my first blog post and also the first time I’ve decided to share something useful, so it’s a pretty big leap for me.

 About this blog:

One hard question which has seriously kicked my booty big time and challenged me seriously to stop and think is

Am I focused?

I already knew the answer to that question and instead of sitting back, considering my options and asking people for advice I jumped into action since it was very clear that I wasn’t as focused as I possibly could be and wasn’t truly optimizing my time.

The result of this action is http://mvijayasekhar.me

In this blog I mainly focuses on two streams:

  • Learning and information sharing through technology. The connection between learning and information sharing can be seen when technology is used for informal learning. Because when technology is used for information sharing it has the potential to record, store, and transmit countless factoids which can lead to instruction, which ultimately provides learners with the opportunity to develop skills.
  • I was inspired to start this blog as a way to express myself (Personal Branding) and provide a more creative look to my passions.

Blog’s Promise:

If you’re going to promise to do something then you’d better deliver or else face the consequences!
I like to promise because it feels more personal, approachable, and sometimes just a bit more “real.”
Here’s my promise (and my blog’s promise):

I promise that I’ll share with you everything that I know and I won’t hold anything back!

I particularly like the well-known quote by Joseph Badaracco, professor at Harvard Business School, who once said:

In today’s environment, hoarding knowledge ultimately erodes your power. If you know something very important, the way to get power is by actually sharing it.

This blog will serve mostly as a collection of my thoughts, personal experiences and passion towards technology. In the meantime, I don’t want to ruin all of the exciting announcements, howtos, demos, etc. that I’ve got coming up. So, stay tuned. Your comments and feedback are always welcome.

Thanks for listening.
